WebThe 15th-century manor house, Great Chalfield Manor, is a Grade I listed building. It was given to the National Trust in 1943, with nine acres of land and an endowment fund, by Major R. F. Fuller, the lord of the manor. In 1676, Great Chalfield had only eighteen residents. In 1831 the population was 83. WebThe church is part of the living of Broughton Gifford with Great Chalfield and Holt. The church registers dating from 1605 (baptisms, marriages and burials), apart from those currently in use, can be seen at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre. All Saints Parish Church has a weekly service - every Sunday, following the Book of Common Prayer.
